Join the Global Crises Project: An International Call for Collaborators
Behaviour in Crisis Lab at Jagiellonian University invites researchers from around the world to join the Global Crises Project, a large-scale international research initiative conducted in collaboration with the Centre for the Politics of Feelings at Royal Holloway, University of London, and affiliated with the Psychological Science Accelerator (PSA).
Researchers interested in participating are invited to submit an expression of interest by 31 October 2026.

On 14 April 2026, a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Children and Youth was held, devoted to the crisis of child and youth homelessness in Poland. The session was attended by Dr hab. Małgorzata Michel, Prof. UJ, leader of the Behaviour in Crisis Lab, who presented research findings from the report “S.O.S. Support for Streetworking Organizations.”

Negatywne emocje są nieodłącznym elementem polityki i, jak pokazują badania z zakresu psychologii społecznej, nie muszą być zjawiskiem wyłącznie niekorzystnym. W rozmowie na antenie Polskiego Radia 24 dr hab. Katarzyną Jaśko, prof. UJ z BiC Lab w Instytucie Psychologii Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego zwracała uwagę, że polityka dotyczy często spraw postrzeganych jako problematyczne, zagrażające lub niesprawiedliwe, dlatego wywołuje emocje takie jak lęk czy złość. Odpowiednio ukierunkowane negatywne emocje mogą jednak zwiększać uważność obywateli, skłaniać ich do poszukiwania informacji oraz mobilizować do działania.
