Cel projektu

The goal of this international Poland-Ukraine-UK project is to generate unique and novel theoretical and practice-oriented insights into the impact of the Russian invasion on the real-time health and well-being of Ukrainian civilians residing in Ukraine and Poland. The secondary goal is also to examine the moderating roles of religiosity, social support and resilience on coping with ongoing war circumstance in general.  To this end, we will conduct longitudinal studies and analyse data from the war-affected civilians in both countries, using measures of different anxiety types (e.g., death, nuclear attack, chemical attack, biological attack, missile attack), depression, PTSD, peri-traumatic experiences, reliance, loneliness, paranoia, quality of life, perceived social support and expected military support from NATO. The project will have implications for informing the support for and facilitating the well-being of war-affected Ukrainian civilians, addressing a serious gap in research on the topic, and producing high quality publications.
