Join the Global Crises Project: An International Call for Collaborators
Behaviour in Crisis Lab at Jagiellonian University invites researchers from around the world to join the Global Crises Project, a large-scale international research initiative conducted in collaboration with the Centre for the Politics of Feelings at Royal Holloway, University of London, and affiliated with the Psychological Science Accelerator (PSA).
Researchers interested in participating are invited to submit an expression of interest by 31 October 2026.

Tragiczne wydarzenia z Jeleniej Góry, w których zginęła 11-letnia dziewczynka, a sprawczynią była jej 12-letnia koleżanka, wstrząsnęły opinią publiczną. Prof. Małgorzata Michel, liderka grupy tematycznej "Młodzież w sytuacjach kryzysowych" Behaviour in Crisis Lab, podkreśla w wywiadzie dla Polskiej Agencji Prasowej, że niezależnie od tego, co zawiniło w tej konkretnej sytuacji mamy do czynienia z dwiema ofiarami – jedną, która straciła życie, i drugą, która dokonała czynu. Rzeczniczka Praw Dziecka zadeklarowała, że będziemy chronić tę dziewczynkę i jej rodzinę. Nie wiemy, co się w życiu tego dziecka podziało, a niebezpieczeństwo linczu społecznego, sądząc po komentarzach w mediach społecznościowych, jest ogromne.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 triggered a wave of suffering and traumatic experiences among the civilian population. Recent research shows that loneliness and low psychological resilience are key factors increasing the risk of depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and reduced quality of life, highlighting the importance of social support and intervention strategies.
