Zafer Özkan

Dr. Zafer Özkan is a postdoctoral researcher in the Behaviour in Crisis Lab at the Institute of Psychology, Jagiellonian University. He completed his Ph.D. in social psychology at the University of Kent in 2019, following his master's degree in social and applied psychology in 2015.

He is the author and co-author of publications in leading journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, British Journal of Social Psychology, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Group Processes & Intergroup Relations, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and the International Journal of Intercultural Relations.

His research focuses on intergroup relations, immigration, mental health, and protest participation. He currently leads and collaborates on several projects employing advanced longitudinal methods.
