Marek Palace

Dr Marek Palace is a Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, specialising in Forensic and Social Psychology. His research activity is focused on violence and terrorism, cyber- security and cyber-safety, decision-making and identity. He has (co)authored nearly 50 papers published in international journals. Following his Masters Degree at Opole University (2005) and PhD at Lancaster University (2010), he served as Research Associate at the University of Leicester (2011/2012). He then lectured at the University of Lincoln (2012/2013), University of Nanjing, China (2013) and University of Derby (2013/2014).

Marek led a number of funded projects sponsored by the Richard Benjamin Trust, Research England and British Academy, including research on violent weapons crime (Exploring the persuasiveness of anti-knife messages) and fake news (Countering anti-vaxxer sentiments through memes).

He is a chartered member (CPsychol) of BPS, British Psychological Society.
