Yuliia Lesyshak

My name is Yuliia Lesyshak, I am from Ukraine. I graduated with a degree in Applied Psychology from the Institute of Applied Psychology at Jagiellonian University. Currently, I work as a psychologist and crisis interventionist at the Crisis Intervention and Counseling Center in Myślenice. During times of war, I specialize in working with individuals from Ukraine who have left their homes due to the war. My interests revolve around understanding how crises impact human behavior and finding the most effective ways to help individuals in psychological crises. I am particularly fascinated by the topics of resilience and adaptability in individuals facing various situations. During interviews, I strive to gather as much information as possible about a person's background, family relationships, childhood, cultural and religious influences to better understand their formative experiences. Additionally, my experience includes addressing PTSD during wartime and developing strategies to teach people how to cope during the darkest times of their lives.
