Ewa Szumowska

Ewa Szumowska is a Ph.D. in Psychology, a researcher at the Institute of Psychology at Jagiellonian University, and a fellow researcher at the University of Maryland. She is a member of the Centre for Social Cognitive Studies in Krakow and the European Association of Social Psychology. She is the author and co-author of scientific publications in journals such as Psychological Review, Psychological Inquiry, Perspectives on Psychological Science, Psychological Science, Cognition, Journal of Experimental Psychology, and Current Directions in Psychological Science. Her research interests mainly focus on motivation and motivated cognition. Additionally, she explores multitasking, goal attainment, and extremism. Recently, her interests have expanded to encompass responses to extreme and crisis situations.
